We are proudly sponsoring the Huddersfield Community Gospel Choir. We are helping them with their advertising, organising and running of events and building their online presence to help them raise funds and keep supporters up to date.

About the Choir

The Huddersfield Community Gospel Choir is a 31 member strong gospel choir based in Huddersfield. The choir provides an opportunity to promote the art of singing using the music genre of gospel music in the local area. It acts to engage with people who have a desire to sing but don’t know how.

The choir currently consists of 31 members and runs on a totally voluntary basis with singers of various musical experience, ethnic backgrounds, and ages to celebrate music and spirituality through the rich tradition of Gospel music.

Check out the HCG Choir website here for full details of the choir.

What we are Doing

We are working with the choir to help them in the organising and running of a concert in October and December 2011. We will be providing general support on the day and will be filming the event so that the choir can build a presence online as well as offline. We have also produced and printed posters of the event to help spread the word of the concert and designed and printed 200+ programmes. We also helped to pay for the venue for the October concert.

We have designed them their own logo and we are building them an online presence through a website where they can advertise upcoming events, post videos, photos and much more. As well as the website we’ll be setting them up and helping manage a social presence through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well as producing them an email newsletter so that people who are interested in the choir can keep up to date with events and news.

The future of the project involves supporting the choir in future events, workshops and teaching.
